    Question Medical checkup!

I'm at present a central Govt. Servant Gr.B Gazetted.
I will b joining to another Dept. as Gr. B but Higher Scale.
Is medical check up and police verification required once again?
If not what is the rule to be quoted?

    Default Medical Examination on DR

    Dear friend

Production of medical certificate of fitness is exempted in the case of a permanent Central/State Government servant holding a Gazetted post on appointment to a Gazetted post under Central Government.
    (SR-4A (6)

The procedure for verfication of Character and Antecedents is necessary only in the case of persons appointed to Government service direct from outside. For those who are already in Govt. service and are appointed on selection along with open candidates, these formalities would have been completed at the time of their initial appointment.

Police verification is done only once at the time of initial appointment in Central Government Organisation. But if Medical check up is prescribed for appointment to the new post it should be done if not done within three years past.
