I need your help regarding anomaly in my pay fixation after 6th CPC implementation.

My junior colleague was granted five advance increments on his joining the institute on the basis of merit. After addition of these five advance increments his basic pay was fixed at Rs. 7500/- in the pre-revised scale of Rs. 6500-200-10500 (Date of joining: 16/08/2001) and at that time my basic pay was Rs. 8300/- . So there was a difference of Rs. 800/- in our old basic pay in the pre-revised scale and my basic pay was more by four increments (i.e.Rs. 800) as on 16/08/2006 which is the date of joining of my colleague, in the pre- After implementation of 6th CPC report my colleague’s basic pay has been fixed form Rs. 7500/- to Rs. 17550/- whereas my basic pay has been fixed from Rs. 8300/- to Rs. 17140/- in the revised pay band of Rs. 9300-34800 with grade pay of Rs. 4600 So revised scale.

, now his basic pay is more than my basic pay by Rs. 410/-

So my basic pay should have been suitably stepped up as per CCS rules.
