Post Carry forwarding of Excess Earned Leave (EL)/ LAP

    Dear friends,
I have EL of 300 + 15 as on 25/06/2009. I had applied leave from 25/06/2009 to 09/07/2009 for 15 days. I want to know, whether the 15 days leave will be deducted from the excess 15 days EL I am having at the credit or will they deduct from the credit that will be given on 1st July. Kindly calrify.

    Thanking you.
    Anthony

They will deduct EL from the credit that will be given on 1st July. Excess bal of EL on 30.6.09 will lapse.

ie. As on 1.7.09 Total EL Credit will be 300+15
    Less EL availed 1.7.09 to 9.7.09 315-9 = 300+6

    Default Excess EL

    Please go through Swamy's Handbook.

In your EL account, the following entries will be made

    25/6/09 EL from 25/6/09 to 30/6/09 6 days Bal at Credit 300+9

    01/07/09 Bal. at credit 300+15

    01/07/09 EL from 01/07/09 to 09/07/09 9 days Bal at Credit 300+6
