    Default Option for pay fixation

    Hi,
I got my MACP (Gp 4200) on 01 Jan 2016. Earlier it was (Gp 2800), till 31 Dec 2015.
My doubt is in which scale they will fix my pay and which option is more beneficial for me.

I think it is not judicious to comment on the basis of data provided.

However, on presumption it can be stated that you pay will be first enhanced to give effect of MACP and then fixing the pay as per recommendation of 7 CPC by multiply the same with 2.57 to fit in the corresponding level of GP 4200 (which would be more beneficial). THIS IS ONLY PRESUMPTION.

    Pay
    On 31 Dec 2015 - 12700 (Pay in the Payband) + 2800 (GP)
    On 01 Jan 2016 - 13170 (pay in the payband) + 4200 with DNI on 01 July 2016

On opting for 7 CPC on

    On 01 Jan 2016 - 44900 {(13170 + 4200)*2.57 = 44640.90, pay may be fixed at 44900 at Level 6
    On 01 Jul 2016 - 46200 with DNI on 01 July 2017.

If you opted otherwise, i.e. pay may be fixed after getting normal increment on 01 July 2016.

    On 01 Jan 2016 - 13170 plus 4200
    On 01 July 2016 - 13700 plus 4200
    On 01 July 2016 - 46200 {(13700 + 4200)*2.57 = 46003.00, pay may be fixed at 46200 at Level 6}. But here you will lose arrears from 01 Jan 16 to 30 Jun 2016.

Here it may be mentioned that NO ORDER FOR MACP HAS BEEN ISSUED FROM DoPT or Min. of Finance, etc. till date. All the calculation was made on the basis of existing rules and regulation. So, wait for release of order as has been done in 6th CPC.

    Thank you,
But it is learnt that our office has already prepared calculation base on salary on 31 Dec 2015 added with an increment for MACP (not grade pay). We are yet to give the option.

No problem, you will get a chance to opt, if it will otherwise in future.
