Default Continuation of EL and CML

    Sir,

    1. Suppose an employee applies E/L for 05 days from Monday to Friday (Saturday/Sunday Closed Holidays). He is required to join duty on next Monday but due to illness on Monday, he applies CML from next Monday to next Friday with medical certificate.

    2. Kindly clarify whether he is allowed Saturday and Sunday as closed holidays before starting CML or he is required to apply E/L from Monday to Sunday and thereafter CML from next Monday to next Friday.

    Default

Leave of the kind due and admissible has to be applied for the intervening Saturday and Sunday. Hence, the person can apply for EL, HPL or EOL for the two days.

    Default Combination of CML

Sir, Doctor has given medical certificate to an employee from Friday to Sunday and thereafter he has applied EL from Next Monday to Friday. A doubt has arisen that whether Fitness Certificate on Sunday will be required as Sunday is closed holiday for CGHS dispensory also and three days CML will be debited in his leave account or Saturday and Sunday will be ignored and only one day CML for Friday only will be debited in his leave account without producing Fitness Certicate. Kindly quote with Leave Rules or any other Govt order. Thanks
