Post Option to draw increment from 01st january

    Respected members,

I heard from one of my friends from Nagpur, that those who were recieving increment in the month of Febuarary to June may give option to revise their increment from July to January.

Is there any clause for that ?

Can any respected members give me a clear and detailed view on this ?

    Thanking you in advance.

    With regards

    Anthony

    Dear friends,
The querist probably refers to pre 1.1.2006 era, for, from 1.7.2006 (obviously with the implementation of 6th CPC Recommendations with retrospective effect) you have no choice.
This leads one to understand that the querist is referring to the plight of those who had their Annual Increment in Feb to Jun, whereby they had lost one increment.
There is no way for advancing the increment of these cases to January, as otherwise the purpose of stating (in the Rules that for earning the Annual Increment on 1st of July the G.S must have served not less than 6 months in the previous pay.
Coming to the question, sarcastically speaking, one can postphone the Increment in those cases to July 2006. (This ideal is based on the fact that a Govt servant has the right to fore a a part of salary) But what is the use?
What we can request the govt is that the first increment under the present Rules, may be granted to all G.S on 1.1.2006.
    With regards,
    Badri
