    Default pay fixation on appointment to higher post through UPSC assumed after technical resig

    Sir,
    I request you to know about my pay fixation. I have appointed on higher post through UPSC by giving technical resignation in the same department. But my previous pay i.e PB2 (17290 plus gp4600)has already been crossed the minimum pay of PB3(15600-39900 plus GP 5400) under which the my new pay to be fixed. My date of appointment is 01 may 2014. So kindly clarify me 1. Whether i would be eligible to get annual increment on 01 jul 2014. And 2. Will my pay be fixed after adding one notional increment. Or could i choose to exercise option to get pay be fixed on 1st jul14 under FR 22 (i)a (1).

    Firstly, you will get one increment on July 2014, if you opt for pay on promotion from 1st July 2014.
    Secondly, as you have directly recruited in another higher post through UPSC after tendering technical resignation, there was an order for entry pay for direct recruits. As you are already in PB3, it was assumed that your present GP should be 5400. If your new post carries GP of 6600, then your minimum entry pay will be 25350 (18750+6600); if your news post carries GP of 7600, then your minimum pay will be 29500 (21900+7600).

    As you have edited your post, the reply on 01.02.2015 become obsolete. In previous query, you have mentioned that you are already in PB3.

    Secondly, you did not mentioned anything about the grade pay attached with new appointment through UPSC after submitting technical resignation.
