Default Clarification regarding LTC admissability for New Recruit.

    Hello,
    Seasons Greetings to all.

I joined Central Govt Service in May 2010.
Took first LTC (all India) after completing 1 year in Aug 2011.
Availed Hometown (conversion to visit J&K) in June 2012.
Availed Hometown (conversion to visit NER) in Nov 2013.

    My question?

Can I visit NER again by converting my Home town in 2014.

When the next All India LTC will be due?

My office advised me not to take Home town conversion in 2014 as it will be not allowed but I can it take for visiting hometown.

    Thanks

    Refer following Orders/FAQs

    OM dated 26.9.2014 (http://ccis.nic.in/WriteReadData/Cir...V-26092014.pdf)
    FAQ (http://persmin.gov.in/DOPT/RTICorner...re/FAQ_LTC.pdf)

As per the above orders following observations are made:

    (a) The first LTC taken in Aug 2011 should have been taken for visiting Hometown and not for All India.
    (b) Only one Home Town in a block of 4 years can be converted for visiting NER/J&K. You have converted two Home Towns in a block of 4 years which is not permissible.
    (c) Next conversion of Home Town to visit NER can be taken in the 2nd block of 4 years i.e. either 2015 or 2016 or 2017.
    (d) Next All India LTC will be due in 2018.
    (e) It is advisable to avail LTC to visit Home Town in 2014 (i.e. by 31.12.2014) as indicated by your office.
