    Red face Fridge for Sale

Some guy bought a new refrigerator for his house. To get rid of his old fridge, he put it in his front yard and hung a sign on it saying:

"Free to good home. You want it, you take it."

For three days the fridge sat there without even one person looking twice at it. He eventually decided that people were too un-trusting of this deal.

It looked too good to be true, so he changed the sign to read:

    "Fridge for sale @Rs.500/-."

The next day someone stole it!

I remember to have read two decades ago, [in those days there was a regular column dedicated to Art Buchwald (spelling mistake excepted)]
The story goes something like this;-
After buying a new Television set, the author wanted to sell the old one.He contacted a "Disposal Firm". The firm came, took the TV and after one week the firm raised a Bill for $50 on the author. The covering letter stated," the TV has been dumped at a place situate 20 km. The transportation charges Rs.15, the fee charged by the Dumping yard owners:$5 and Service Charge:30.
The story may have become a reality, or so it appears.
    With regards,
    Badri
