3 macp before 30 years

I joined I.M.D as an Observer in 1988 and got promotion as Sr. Observer in Sept. 1993 (pre revised RS.5000/=)
and subsequently it was merged with the higher post i.e Sc. Asst (pre-revised Rs.5500/-).

I got 2 nd macp 1.9.2008 Am I eligible for 3 MACP now i.e, Sep 2013 as per the Illustration given under para 28 of
Annexure I of MACP order

3rd MACP will be admissible on completion of 30 years of service or on completion of 10 years in the same Grade Pay whichever is earlier.

I presume you are drawing 4600 grade pay w.e.f. 1.9.2008. Hence you will be due for 3rd MACP in 2018.
