    Default cghs rule clarification, please.

One of my friend\'s son ( 18 years of age) is studying in Hyderabad while he himself is posted in New Delhi. As per the CGHS rules , he got the name of his son deleted from the CGHS card as his son was not staying with him at New Delhi.Last week, when his son visited him, he got sick at New Delhi and thereafter got treated at some private hospital . Now, is it possible to get the reimbursements of the expentitures made towards the son\'s treatment and if yes, under what rules ?
Someone may kindly reply immediately, please.

In the first instant, the name of the son should not have been deleted from the cghs card ,as the son is still a dependant. Who ever gave the advice for deletion of name was wrong. Kindly get the name re entered immediately, and as a special case fill up a medical reimbursement bill for the treatment undertaken, and request the Director CGHS New Delhi ,to sanction and pass the bill as a specilal case, since the deletion was done out of sheer ignorance.

    1. as per the cghs rules extant, if the admission is on \'emergency\' that is certified by the treating doctor of the private hospital.

    2. then fill up the medical reimbursement form with all the bills duely attested by the the private hosptal authorised signitory and submit the same in duplicate to the office the employee.

the office will scrutinise and refer themater to cghs loca office for clarifications if any and reimburse the entilted amount as per cghs rates.

PS: most imp the employees son\'s name need not be cancelled from the cghs card. the employee\'s son can get temporary permit from the employees office \' to avail cghs facilities at hyderabad\'.

    with regards
