    Sir,
    If a person is working in GoI post drawing salary of more than 5 lacs/ year, can he be considered under OBC quota for another recruitment based on his fathers income which is less than 4 lac in a year. please inform me the details.

    Sir,
    please go through the site OBCGURU.COM.As per the site income from salary and agriculture will not count for issuing non- creamy layer certificate for obc.Position and income of parents only consider for issuing the same, not of self and spouse.but issuing authority of the certificate is comes under state govt and the criteria adopted by states is different.The state of Tamilnadu is issuing the certificate as per the rule mentioned above and one of my friend whose son got admission in IIT in this year informed me that DOPT had given clarification in this effect.

    Yes, his candidature should be considered based on parental income as it is less than 4.5 lakhs.
