Medical Certificate from AMA for leave on account of illness, Fee for issue regardin

The Fee for issue of a Medical Certificate by the AMA advising absence from duty due to illness during consultation now is stated to be Rs. 100/-. But whether any government order [G.O or O.M] has been issued by any authority in this regard ? If so kindly quote the G.O or O.M number if available. I strongly believe that a medical certificate of this kind should be issued along with the prescription if the patient is known to be a government servant and such certificate to be charged are like those issued after medical examination prescribed for employment under the government. As otherwise the fee thus charged should also invariably be made as eligible for re-reimbursement along with other charges or cost of medicine etc.

Fees are prescribed only for consultation and the issue of a MC is a part of the consultation process. I am not aware of any GO which regulates the "fees" for issue of a MC.

Then it should be construed that most of the medical officers in the government sector are of the impression that the G.O enhancing the rate of fee for MC, if any issued and seen by them, is regarding the MC to the government servant consulted him whom he advised absence from duty to recover from the illness. Levying the said fee is a fact.
