Default Is ACP/MACP different from PROMOTION?

    Hi,

I happen to represent for one increment upon the release of my ACP in August 2008 from 6500-10500 to 7450-11000 scale which was granted to me at same Grade Pay of Rs. 4600/-.

I hope my case will be considered in MACP from September 2008 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4800/-.

I have quoted the Circular http://www.kvsangathan.nic.in/cir-6cpc-15-09-10.PDF in which Kendriya Vidhyalaya have granted one increment in case of promotion to same scale.

The officers at accounts says KVS have given increment upon promotion and mine is ACP. I dont understand whether ACP is different from PROMOTION.

Should i be given increment in August 2008? If no, what are my ACP benefits?

    Kindly Reply,

In the clarifications issued by government for ACP, (http://www.irtsa.net/pdfdocs/ACP.pdf) it is unambiguously stated that you are eligible for fixation under FR 22 (I)(a) (I).See clarification to item No.52. Hence your upgradation under ACP in 8/2008 is eligible for increment.

Thank you Pathak Sir and Sasi Sir,

@Mr. Pathak - Sir, i have not been given any increment, i have represented for one increment on 8/2008 as ACP benefit. But since there is no change in my Grade Pay as my Feeder Post and Promotional Post has same Grade Pay, no increment was given to me and are also not ready to give me increment.

@Mr Sasi - Sir, one more clarification please.

If my case is considered under MACPS from September 2008, should i be given one more increment and Grade Pay of Rs. 4800/-?

If yes, three increments One in July 2008 - My regular Increment, Next in August 2008 - ACP Benefit and Last in September 2008 - Under MACPS

    is this correct?

    Kindly Reply

    Deepak

    Thanks Sasi Sir

    One more clarification please..

If an increment is given to me on 8/2008 as ACP benefit, can this be taken as Up-gradation under ACP and deny MACP benefit of GP 4800/- from September 2008?

    Kindly Reply,
    Deepak

As per para 5 of Annexure 1 to the MACP order your ACP in 8/08 is to be ignored for the purpose of granting upgradation to GP 4800 in 9/08. Hence your MACP in 9/08 can not be denied.
