    your pension should be 50% of ( 18100+4200) = 22300 x 1/2 = 11150 plus DA 3568.

    Dear Mr.Kartihkeyan,

Mr.Ranganathan's calculation is correct provided the service rendered is more than 20 years required for full pension now.

You are also entitled for gratuity (function of length of service),

for leave encashment even from HPL to the extent the EL at credit is less than 300 days

commutation based on revised basic using new commutation table

balance from group insurance (CGEGIS), saving component as per table which depends on the date of joining the CGEIGIS with subscription

    2. ALSO LEAVE ENCASHMENT CRITEREA, WHETHER IT INCLUDES DA COMPONENT AND HRA AS WELL

    3. LEAVE ENCASHMENT AT LTC, IS IT TAXABLE

    4. WHICH ARE I TAX FREE RETIREMENT BENEFITS?

I would try to answer your question to the best of my knowledge, as under :
    1. Gratuity in your case would be equivalent to sixteen and half months emoluments last drawn. This is subject to a maximum of cap which is now being raised to ten lakhs.
2 Leave encashment doesnot include HRA.
3 Leave encashment at LTC is taxable.
    4. Retirement benefits are non-taxable which include Gratuity, leave encashment at superanuation,Commutational amount and PF payment at retirement. Pension + DR is fully taxable.

There is a web site pensioners portal from where you get a calculator. You only need to fill and you will get, 1. Pension 2. Commutation. 3.gratuity and no confusion will come.
