    Exclamation Whether any Time bar is there for Fixation of Pay

    Sir ,

    Whether any Time bar sanction is required for approval of pay fixation after lapse of 3years from the date of publishing part-II order.

    Details

    LDC has promted to the post of UDC on 15.10.2002 and trasferred to other office and that office published a part -II order on 17.10.2002 to that effect as the individual reported duty on 16.10.2002 and assumed the post of UDC on 16.10.2002.

    Further due to some reasons , for approval of pay fixation not submiited till date.

    Now approval for fixation of pay on promtion to the post UDC whether Time bar sanction required. Kinldy furnishe the relevant orders.

    Dear Friend,

    There is no time limit as such for fixation of pay on promotion. If the pay of a person promoted in 2002 has not so far been fixed after promotion (for whatever reason), the pay in the promoted post may be fixed any time now based on the LPC/service records available.

    Thanks for giving information . Sir any rule is available for time bar saction is not required for approval of pay fixation and LPC/service records details are available.

    Pay fixation on promotion should have been fixed immediately after an employee exercised his option, which normally is within one month. In case option is not exercised, the comeptent authority may fix the pay at his own. In case pay fixation has not been done so far for any reason, there is no harm to fix the pay now staff should not be harassed
