1. ## Pay fixation !

Dear Sir,

How is the pay of a Govt. employee protected in the new scale if he is promoted (in the old scale) a few days prior to the revision from 1.1.2006 and opts for initial fixation under FR-22(a)(i) and final fixation after he earns his annual increment due from 1.1.2006 ? Please illustrate preferably with an example!

2. ## pay fixation

First arrived at the basic pay after increment as on 1.1.2006 both notional and normal and the amount so come multiply with 1.86 the figure arrived be rounded off to next rs 10/-. Grant appropriate grade pay

3. Did u mean two increments in the old scale on 1.1.2006 and then the formula for revised pay ?

Dear friend,

First fix the pay on 1-1-2006 in the pre-revised scale taking the notional increment and the normal increment due on 1-1-2006. Then the corresponding revised pay may be arrived.

5. ## Increment

Yes one normal increment then notional increment and bring to the stage avaialbe in the pay scale and fix revise pay as per 6cpc. For example a person drawing a basic pay of rs 4900 in the pay scale of rs 4000-6000 and date of incrment is 1.1.2006. promoted to the post of carrying the pay scale of rs 5000-9000 and opts for pay fixation w.e.f. the date of increment. his pay shall be as follows:
pay as on 1.1.2006 : rs 4900
after normal increment: 5000
after notional increment: 5100 next stage is 5150
multiply 5150*1.86=9579 rounded off to next rs 10 which mean rs 9580 + grade pay rs 4200
Next date of increment shall be 1.7.2006

6. Can I have some link /reference to relevant OM in this regard plz.?
