In the Pension Calculator (6CPC), [as per pension memorandumF.No.:38/37/08 dated 1-9-08],
I would like to know, whether the Pension Table, includesthe grade pay or not. It is not obvious or explicit as it is. Anybody can clarify? Thanks.

    Dear Mr Seshan

Many are hesitating to answer your question! Let me attempt!

    Simple answer: "Supposed to be!"

Formula used is - pension as on 1.1.1996 x 2.26 and the result is your basic pension as on 1.1.2006! Check the Fitment table- Divide the last column by the first column and u will get 2.26!

For example if your basic pension was 1000 as on 1.1.1996, the revised basic pension as on 1.1.2006 will be 2260! what a great increase!

(if you are a Tamilian, and if you know the typical SENTHIL-vazhapazham comedy - this magic multiplying factor 2.26 includes- the so called 40% fitment as "the plantain" and also the so called Grade Pay (mostly eroded- and it is also "the same plantain") to give you such a great benefit of say 18 to 25%! . Go to the top of the table and you will realise what is their % of increase in pension!)

All from Scales S-30 downwards taken for a big ride! I mean SLIDE!

From S-31 to 34 - honoured with FLYING COLOURS!
