Question OM dated 13-nov-2009 (granting grade pay of 4600 to pre revised 6500 pay scale)

    Sir,

Fin. Min. had issued an OM dated 13-nov-2009 regarding provision of 4600 GP for posts which existed in the pre revised scale of 6500 as on 01-01-2006. In this regard i wish to know what is the time limit for the offices to give the upgraded GP of 4600 to posts in the prerevised 6500 and which were given the normal replacement GP of 4200?

    with regards

    Sabarinathan

    Dear friend

Due to receipt of orders now and then and revision of some earlier orders there is lot of stress and workload on administration and accounts. At the first instance request your administration to implement the orders granting gp 4600. You may also request your colleagues who have the same problem to approach the head of administration. Give sufficient time for them. In case if you fail to get suitable reply you people may approach your head of office or submit a representation in writing along with a copy of the orders. Last resort you may submit your representation to your administrative ministry through proper channel. Keep on sending reminders once in 15 days. If you don't succeed in getting the solution approach CAT as a last resort.

    Default Grade pay for 7450-11500

I was in the pay scale of rs 7450-11500 w.e.f. 14.07.2007(.) however on implementation of 6th cpc i was granted the grade pay of rs 4600(.) since i completed 24 years as an assistant who has been granted the the grade pay of rs 4200, kindly let me know whether the decision of my office to grant grade pay of rs 4600 is in order, in my opinion i having completed 24 years as an assistant should have been granted two up gradations

    Dear Friend,

You are right. It is also correct for your office to fix, in the first instance, the grade pay of 4600 towards the pre-revised scale of 7450-11500 w.e.f. 14.07.2007. In terms of the provisions of the MACP Scheme of 19.05.2009, one of the ACP upgradations granted to you in the past would be ignored and the 2nd MACP upgradation (under the new rules) raising your grade pay to 4800 would be granted w.e.f. 01.09.2008 with the approval of the screening committee constituted for the purpose.
