    Default Seniority and grade pay

    Dear All
As per the 6 cpc the seniority is to be determined by the Grade Pay within the cadre. Is it applicable for all employees or only to the IAS/IPS etc.

    Dear Mr. Jayan,

According to the recommendations of SCPC (para 2.2.11), ‘grade pay’ will determine status of a post with a senior post being given higher grade pay. Grade pay is, therefore, relevant only in determining the status of a post to which it is attached and not the seniority of an employee.

    Dear friend
Seniority in a cadre and grade pay attached to a particular post are two entirely different issue and has no linked.
