    Wink Pay fixation after ACP

    Hi,
Can anybody tell me what will be my grade pay as on 1.7.2007 on the basis of following :
Date of my joining service : 18/08/1997
    10 years completed on : 17/8/2007
    Pay Scale : Rs.4000- 6000/- (pre revised)
    Pay Scale : Rs.5200-20200( Revised) GP: 2400/-
It may be noted that in my department, there is no ministerial post in the pay scale of Rs.4500/- ( pre-revised). My seniors have got Rs.4200/- GP after fixing their pay in the pre- revised scale of Rs.5500/-.
Please clarify and send me at my e-mail: mukutdas@rediffmail.co.in

    Dear Friend,

Had you completed 12 years of regular service as on 31.08.2008, you would have become eligible for grant of upgradation to GP 4200 in the hierarchy of your promotional post. However, you have completed more than 10 years of service on the date of inception of the MACP Scheme i.e. as on 01.09.2008 and you are eligible for upgradation to the next grade pay in the hierarchy of pay band i.e. 2800 (from 01.09.2008) irrespective of the fact whether or not any post of this grade pay is available in your department.

My ACP and my date of increment both are on 1.1.08. Now for my pay fixation after ACP which order has to be followed? ie. A)Pay jump in the old scales first, increment and then fixation or B) Pay fixation as per the new scales and then increment.
If method B is followed am i eligible for 2 increments because one increment is naturally added during fixation and the other one due to my increment date also being 1.1.08?
Pl. clarify and kindly mail me at ativ2003@yahoo.com
The fixation of pay under 6CPC will be based on the pre-revised basic pay and the scale on the date of migration. If the date of migration is 1.1.2008 then the pay will be fixed as per the pre-revised basic pay prevalent as on 1.1.2006. Kindly give more details of your pre-revised pay and scales as on the date of option.

On 1.1.08 I had completed 24 years of service. As on 1.1.06 my basic in the pre revised scale was 9100 (scale 6500-200-10500). Hence it would have been 9500 on 1.1.08 in the same scale. But I would be eligible for ACP that day and in our dept. the next scale would be 8000-275-13500. Also my increment date is 1.1.08.
    Thankyou,
    Aannapurna
What is the date of option given by you for switchover to 6CPC. Also have you been granted ACP on 1.1.2008 or it is still to be granted.

The pay fixation details are as follows:

    (A) Date of switchover from 5CPC to 6CPC: 1/1/2008

    1/1/2008: BP 9500 (6500-10500) pre-revised
    1/1/2008: BP 9925 (8000-13500) pre-revised
    1/1/2008: 18470 + GP 5400
    1/7/2008: 19190 + GP 5400
    1/7/2009: 19930 + GP 5400
    1/7/2010: 20690 + GP 5400

Note: NO arrears are payable for the period 1/1/2006 to 31/12/2007

    (B) Date of switchover from 5CPC to 6CPC: 1/1/2006

    1/1/2006: BP 9100 (6500-10500) pre-revised
    1/1/2006: 16930 + GP 4200
    1/7/2006: 17570 + GP 4200
    1/7/2007: 18230 + GP 4200
    1/1/2008: 18910 + GP 5400
    1/7/2008: 19640 + GP 5400
    1/7/2009: 20400 + GP 5400
    1/7/2010: 21180 + GP 5400

From the above it is clear that switchover from 5CPC to 6CPC w.e.f. 1/1/2006 is beneficial.

    Thanks for the calculations.
But my doubt is regarding the increment. 1.1.08 is the date of my natural increment too. Is it not to be added in the pre revised scale and then the pay fixed?(in case i opt for changeover from 1.1.08).
Also after fixation ie. using the standard formula, is not one increment given again after every fixation?
    Kindly clarify sir.

The increment in the pre-revised scale has been taken care of in case you opt for switchover from 1.1.2008. Kindly refer to the calculations given earlier. In option A, the pre-revised pay as on 1.1.2008 viz. 9500 is after drawing the increment due on 1.1.2008. Based on this, the pay will be fixed at 9925 in the pre-revised scale of 8000-13500 in accordance with FR 22(1)(a)(i).

Further, as per the details given by you, Option (B) is beneficial to you. It is not clear as to why you want to opt for switchover from 1.1.2008.
