    Default clarification pay fixation on nfsg 5400

    benefit of one increment allowed on grant of NFSG 5400 to supdts/appraisers; customs & central excise. F No A 26017/98/2008 Ad II (A) dated 23.12.09 attached.

    Great..

    Now the next thing will to appeal to change NFG, from 5400 in pb-2 to 5400 in pb-3, as done in the case of CSSS, DANICS, Railways etc.

    Or

    Going to CAT against the DOPT instructions treating 5400 in pb-2 and 5400 in pb-3 as two distinct levels for MACP. If for all other allowances just grade pay(irrespective of pay band) is the criteria, why two divisions in same grade pay..

    Definitely somebody should approach the Govt. for abolishing 5400/- in PB II.

    Already, The Central Excise Superintendents' Association has taken up this issue with the Govt. But we have to wait and see.

    If 'A' is in PB-2 and of GP 5400/- by virtue of MACP or post.Wheather his GP will increase on next MACP or not.

    In the present scenerio rs 5400 has been granted both in pb2 and pb3, the idea in fact was to give rs 5400 in pb2 to the section officers who put in 4 years of service and rs 5400 in pb3 to direct recruits. Since a section officer in otherwise a group b post(.) now these two grades have been converted into two separate grades by our great intellectuals due to ignorance and a person in pb2 with grade pay of rs 5400 are being given macp in macp with pb3 with grade pay of rs 5400(.) this way they are playing with the carrear of staff

    its a sorry state of affairs that a person in pb2 with grade pay of rs 5400 is being given macp in macp with pb3 with grade pay of rs 5400

    Earlier to sixth pay com. a Junior Engineer after completion of 12 years service got one ACP and he enjoyed the equvellant pay scale of Asstt. Engineer, but in present scenario if he is in 4200 grade pay will get 4600 grade pay after completion of 10 years service, after completion of another 20 yrs service he will get 4800 grade pay and after 30 yrs service he will be eligible for 5400 grade pay(In pay band 3)! that is too far less than the Asstt. Engneers' present pay scale (Pay band 2 with Grade pay 5400). Now the question is this those who are in 5400 grade pay in pay band 3 why not eligible for change in grade pay i.e. 5400 to 6600 if rest of them all are getting the higher grade pay after MACP implimentation?
