    Default Cghs-2

    Sirs,

I had asked the following question a few months back but lost track of it and could not find any reply for that. Hence I am repeating this question :

A lady had included her mother-in-law for CGHS facilities and was availing the facility for the M-i-L. However, recently her MIL died and now the lady wants to include her mother's name in the CGHS.

Is it permitted ? (If so, any reference please).

    Rgds

    Dear Mr Rao,
Yes as per OM dated 03-03-1987 a lady is given a choice to keep either her parents or parents-in-law as her dependant. Till the date of death of her mother-in-law she has given the choice of keeping her MIL. Now she can give a choice to keep her mother as dependant. I think there will be no objection. Provided the mother satisfies the conditions for dependancy.
    regards,
    svsankar.
