About Me

Sorry. No upgradation under ACPS of 1999 was due to you as on 31.08.2008. Please understand.

Ignoring of promotion shall entail you upgradation only under MACPS of 19.05.2009.

Clarification of 09.09.2010 has no relevance to your case.

    Dear friend,

As I have already stated, as on 31.08.2008 (the date up to which the erstwhile ACP scheme was in force) no further upgradation was due to you.

Merger of two posts of SA & SI in 2006 makes you eligible for further upgradations under MACPS from the date the MACPS came in to force i.e. on 01.09.2008

    Dear Friend,

You have been granted the 2nd upgradation under ACPS in January 2002 as per entitlement and there are no further dues as on 31.08.2008.

Your 1st promotion to the post of Senior Investigator will be ignored under MACPS. As on 01.09.2008 (the date of inception of MACPS) you have completed 30 years of service and became eligible for 3 upgradations/promotions from your first entry in to service in the entry grade. Accordingly, you will be granted two upgradations first to GP of 4800 and secondly to GP of 5400 in PB-2 w.e.f. 01.09.2008.

As per 6th pay com air travel is entitled to officers having GP of 5400. I am posted as Statistical Officer with GP of Rs.4600 in Directorate of Economics and Statistics at PORT BLAIR , A & N ISLANDS.During LTC I am entitled for Delux Cabin in ship for travel from PORT BLAIR to CHENNAI/KOLKATA.But as per Ministry of Finance letter no/7(1)/E.Coord/2008 dated4.12.2008 has directed officers choose to travel by air provided the fare does not exceed the fare offered by Air India under LTC 80 sceme effective from 1.12.2008. the rates offered for different sectors are given in the above letter. In my opinion this relates to only those officers who are entitled for air fare. I am not entitled for air fare but for delux cabin of Rs.7640/- but my deptt has restricted my claim of Rs 7640/- to Rs.5775/- which is LTC 80 Fare of PORT BLAIR to CHENNAI. kindly send your opinion of my actual entitlement

please refer to additional information that the corresponding GP during initial appt was 4200. In that case, I feel, your case will be as follows:

On your initial appt (equivalent) GP 4200 from 9.1.78
promotion to same grade Nov 87 - To be negleted
    On 1st ACP GP 4600 (upgraded to 4600) 9.1.88 (10 yrs)
    on 2nd ACP GP 4800 9.1.1998 (20 years)
On 3rd ACP GP 5400 - 9.1.2008 (30 years) which will be effective from 1.9.2008

    I feel you are right.

    With regards,

    My dear friend
Sorry but it will only be 4800 and not the 5400/-.

please refer to your doubt regarding GP on 3rd ACP eligible w.e.f. 1.9.2008 under MACPS.

In my view, your case is covered under para 28(A(i) &(ii) for which a seperate illustration is given in the annexure to the memorandum. According to the provisions,

On your initial appt (equivalent) GP 2800 from 9.1.78
On promotion GP 4200 from Nov 87 (exact dt not given)
On 2nd ACP GP 4200 (upgraded to 4600) from 1.1.02
On 3rd ACP (after more than 20 years from the date of promotion) 4800 from 1.9.2008

I feel, there won't be any chance of GP5400 instead of GP 4800 on 3rd ACP under MACPS.
