One of my colleages was given an officiating post of PPS in the pay-scale of 10,000-15200 in November 2005 in an autonomous office. In Sept. 2007 he went on deputation as PPS in the same scale. He returned to his parent office in July 2008.

After the 6CPC his parent office fixed his BP in Sept. 2007-Rs. 20,140 plus 6,600 as GP and sent it to borrowing office for his arrears. Now the borrowing office has the following objection:

1. As he was on officiating post his salary will be fixed again considering his regular post scale i.e., 6500-10500/- and accordingly fixed his BP in Sept. 2007 - Rs. 17730 plus GP 6600/-. Their objection was as he was on officiating (ad hoc) post, he may be considered in the scale 6500/- i.e., his regular pay-scale and accordingly they fixed his salary 17,730 plus GP 6600 as of PPS for him.

Now my question here is if he does not go on deputation, he gets Rs. 20,140 plus GP 6600 and on going on deputation he got 17730 plus GP 6600/- is there any rule of FR/SR to protect his salary?

Sorry sir i am afraid that officiating pay cannot be protected. But the minimum pay in GP-6600 should have been 18750 and not 17730 as per Section II of revised pay rules, 2008. atleast your friend can get a relief by claiming that.
