Hi,

I am Roy Micheal, working as Inspector with Central Excise.

I want to know, my basic pay after the issuance of the O.M. dated 13.11.09.

I am promotee and my basic pay as on 01.01.2006 was Rs.6700/- in the pre-revised pay scale of 6500-200-10500. Now, the said pay scale have been merged with pre-revised pay scale of 7450-225-11500 by virtue of above O.M.

Once again I request you to give me the basic pay as on 01.01.2006 with illustration please.

Thanks
ROY MICHEAL

Dear friend there will be no change in your Pay in the pay band. Only your grade pay will change from 4200 to 4600. A jump of Rs.400 in basic pay as on1.1.2006.

There won't be any hike in pay band and you will get only the difference of grade pay i.e. Rs.400. For any clarification contact [email protected]

your pay will be fixed at old basic x 1.86 plus gp 4600; subject to a min of 12540 band pay. in case of bunching, it will be broken as extant rules

Sorry Sir I beg to differ that the minimum pay 12540 is for direct recruits only.
For promotees it is 9300 only + grade pay in PB-2. The pay as on 01-01-2006 shall be the same for mr. roymichael as fixed earlier. But it will differ slightly from 01-7-2006, 01-7-2007 etc. due to higher grade pay added for increment.

mr sankar, u are quite correct. however, FR provides that senior shall not draw less pay than his junior. 6700*1.86 round = 12470 which is less than that fixed for DR 12540. so when a dr joins later, senior can claim pay rise.

Also, this matter has been taken up by staff side in anomaly committee to make necessarry cahanges in pay rules so that the promotees also get minimum pay fixed for DR's. Orders are expected to be issued shortly

Dear Friends,

It is true that the enabling orders are in the offing to raise the pay (in the pay band) of promotees at par with the entry pay prescribed for direct recruits in those cases where the pay of promotees is lower than the entry pay for the promoted grade/post.
