Dear friends,

Warm greetings to all. I just have a query.....?

Who are all eligible for Overtime at double the rate ?

Is there any maximum basic pay for whom OT is eligible ?

Why "NOT"(@ single rate) is paid for JEs, Head Clerks inside the
factory ?

According to Factory's Act 1948 "overtime is paid at double the
rate, for those who work inside a factory and who performs
for more than 48 hours a week or on daily basis if it crosses
9 hours a day"

Is there any rules with regard to this ?

Kindly give your valuable suggestions.

With warm regards,
Anthony

All of them working in a factory are eligible for double rate if employed for more than 48 hours.
Earlier staff in 6500/10500 non gazetted were getting only 50% OT. i.e., Grade pay 4200 non gazetted can get 50% OT. All below will get full OT.
