it is perhaps impossible to draw arrears for any department before disbursement of salary in new scales as per rules and therefore all of us will get due arrears only after 30th september and not before that.

Actually, many departments have started releasing arrears this week. It all depends on how efficient the Administration is.

Instead of 40:60 proportion, arrears should have been released based on period. That is release of arrears for the period from January 2006 to February 2007 in first installment and for the period March 2007 to August 2008 in second installment would have resulted in a proportion of around 42: 58 and helped those who want to avail relief u/s 89 (1).
if some govt employee from Finance ministry also happens to be a gconnector, they may raise this issue in their dept.

The OM on pensioners clearly informs that the old PPOs should not be called back or sent for revision but the departments/banks etc must initiate the revision process themselves and issue the revision PPOs with copy to pensioners.

Gazapathy Sir
As per notification issued from MoF on pre 2006 pensioners, para 11 clarifies that H.O.D. from where you have drawn your last pay will be responsible for revised pay fixation in terms of para 4 of same notification and therefore you are not required to go any where for revision of your pension. In case of any doubt, you may write to your H.O.D. for further clarification. Your pension will be revised by them only.
Wish for happy long life.

It is learnt that SBI, Tiruchirapalli, Tamilnadu has released the arrears (40%) alongwith Sep. 2008 Revised Pension on 29.9.2008 itself. But in other branches at other States, there is no confirmation that arrears has been released even by the Branches of SBI. We have been discussing about the delay for the past one month, and in between to expedite disbursement, even a O.M. also got issued prescribing a week time. Till this moment, arrears is expected..............
