I joined central govt department on 23/12/1988 in the pay scale of Rs 1400-2300. Thereafter after abtaining technical resignation joined the same ministry but attached office on 21/11/1993 in the pay scale of Rs 1600-2660. Thereafter I got only one ACP from 01/01/2006 during the period of 20 years of service.
Am I eligible for the grant of IInd MACP in the higher grade pay?

Respected Mr. Victor
Many thanks for your prompt reply. In this regard I wishes to state that:
I joined the post of Rs 1600-2660 after submitting Technical Resignation from the post carrying pay scale of Rs 1400-2300. hence my date of joining govt service is 23-12-1988. therefore I completed 20 years of service on 23-12-2008. Am I right?

As the Grade Pay of the two scales (1400-2300 and 1600-2660) are different, your 'Regular Service' for the purpose of MACP will start from 21.11.1993. Actually, this is advantageous to you as otherwise this jump to a higher scale would have been treated as a financial upgradation and you would then be eligible for only 3rd MACP on completion of 30 years of service.

Thanks for your reply
The scale of pay you are talking about is 1400-40-1800-50-2300 while in my case it is 1400-40-1600-50-2300-60-2600. Therefore it is S-9.

In your first post you had mentioned Rs. 1400-2300 and NOT Rs. 1400-2600.

The scale of pay is
Rs. 1400-40-1600-50-2300
not Rs. 1400-40-1800-50-2300 to be more precise & clear. After your quary I confirmed from office it is S-9 as per 5th pay commission. Pl give your valuable advice.
Thanks.
