Here are simple select options in MS-Word.
1. To select a word, double click anywhere in the particular word.
2. To select a paragraph, triple click anywhere in the paragraph.
Also, to change cases press shift + F3 until you get the preferred case.

Sir,
There are so many ways to use short cut keys. I am normally using shortcut keys (About 80 Keys in word, excel and power point) and I feel it reduces our time compared to use of mouse. I have downloaded a collection which is attached.
Hope this will be useful to many of us.
