Sub: Revision of pension of pre-2006 pensioners
Reference Govt. of India Office Memorandum no. 38/37/08-P&PW(A) dated the 28th January, 2013 on the above subject and the concordance table sent therewith, I seek your kind advice on the following: -
My friend retired on 31-12-1994, on attaining the age of 58, after completion of about 35 years of continuous service. At the time of retirement, his basic pay was Rs. 4, 950 in the scale of Rs. 4,500-150-5,700, the pay scale in force w.e.f 01-01-1986. Subsequently, the scale was revised to Rs. 14,300-400-18, 300 in the Grade S 24. Consequent on the implementation of the 6th CPC recommendation, this scale stands at Rs. 37,400-67,000, with the Grade Pay of Rs. 8,700. Accordingly, his present basic pension is Rs. 23, 050.
Kindly enlighten me if any hike in his basic pension accrues to him as a result of the Office Memorandum mentioned in Para 1 above. And, if so is the revision of his pension automatic or calls for an application on his part to AGCR (PAO,IRLA) New Delhi.
Thanking you,

Yours faithfully

His pension cannot be more than the 50% of the minimum of the pay in the corresponding pay band and the grade pay. As you have mentioned he is already drawing pension of Rs. 23050. As such I don't think theere would be any further revision.
