I have windows XP.and Quick Heal Internet Security. For some days Booting has become very slow. It takes almost 5 minutes for Quick Heal icon to appear and the computer to be ready. My Desk top is not cluttered.I have tried all Quick Heal Anti-Rootkit and Boot time scans also. But there is no improvement.I seek suggestions from knowledgeable members.

you may first disable those programs from boot list which are not frequently used. Also, increasing RAM will help.

1 delete all .temp files
