Hi Friends,

Is this circular valid to all central govt employees or only TN state govt employees because it is written here that while on TOUR an Officer can choose to travel in private airlines,,, provided he justifies.

kindly clarify because even till date we are not encouraging travel by pvt airlines and for us its stated we need to take permission from ministry of aviation.

in our office even the non entitled officers are not permitted to travel by private air lines(even for restriction to train fare)as the latest clarification does not includes this aspect. please furnish the latest order/clarification in favour of this please.

Refer DOPT OM dated 11/3/2010 (http://persmin.gov.in/WriteReadData/CircularPortal/D2/D02est/31011_2_2006-Estt.(A)1.pdf) and MOF OM dated 16/9/2010 (http://finmin.nic.in/the_ministry/dept_expenditure/notification/tour_ltc/Guideline_airtravel_16sept2010.pdf).

The MOF OM dated 16/9/2010 has created the confusion as it does not take into account DOPT's OM dated 11/3/2010. Probably another clarification is required to resolve the issue.
