I worked for Railways for three years and one month and there after again I got selected in railways with permission. I have given pay protection at new place of appointment. Even I got promotion on the basis of my past service but in records they are mentioning my date of appointment later one. Is it correct? Please provide me guidance and relevant official circulars regarding the same.
thanks

As you have got the benefit of past service, your date of appointment in service will be the initial date when you joined railways for the first time. Kindly check if your service book has been transferred to the new office.

Thanks Victor. My service book is already transferred to my new office but they are saying that my date of appointment will be later one without support of any evidence. Please clarify further how can I put my matter effectively.

The transfer of service book itself implies that your past service is being counted. Hence your date of appointment in service will be the initial date while the date of appointment in the present grade would be the later date.

In case of any confusion you may represent to the Competent Authority.
