:mad:This thread addresses some of the outstanding recommendations of Fifth CPCs and again voiced in Sixth CPC. Some examples are (1)additional pensionary benefits for length of service rendered over and above the 33 years min. eligible service for full pension (2) Reduction of restoration period for commuted pension from 15 years to 12 years etc

Inspite of positive outcomes in the CPCs, the Govt. is not responding. We must appeal to the DoPT/ Ministry concerned/ GOI for doing the needful. These are vital for all aging pensioners.

Also in view of the rising costs in the housing sector and also related services(eg maintenance, utilities)/ taxes, the Govt. must come to the rescue of Pensioners by extending some relief in this area. For example: Some minimum HRA can be granted; or Exemption from property tax (at least for one house/ flat if self-occupied)must be examined by concerned State/ Central Govts.

Pensioners must be made to feel at HOME- as they have done immense service to the nation and people in the past. None can dispute this.:cool:

While implementing the recommendations, the authorities do not consider the difficulties faced by pensioners in old age for meeting the expenditures including hospital expenses. they forget that they will also retire and face the difficulties
