View Full Version : LIEN rules and procedure for Central Government employees.

I am currently employed in IndiaPost,Min. of Communication and Information Technology as group C employee.However I have recently got selected in a Higher payband post under Home ministry.This new job has a two year probation period after joining.Please help me regarding the rules and procedure for joining under LIEN.I am providing details as under-

1.I am already a permanent in my present job.

2.Both are Central Govt jobs.

3.Where can I find the relevant rule or procedure to apply for LIEN?

4.How will my leave and PF be adjusted in case of a LIEN?

5.If I don't like the new job can I revert back to my current job anytime during the LIEN period?

Please advise me,I am really in a difficult situation as I don't want to entire resign from a permanent job straightaway.

You can retain lien for two years and during this period you are required to pay leave salary and pension contribution to parent organisation. Kindly consult Swamy's Hand Book for details
