Please tell me if the CCL is admissible in case of adopted Child.My office has asked me to show any authority as they kept my application pending.Please post any clarrification or order.My adopted son is less than 18 years old.

There is no instrutions which bar a women employee to avail of Child care even in case of adopted children. The only condition is that child should be under 18

As per Govt. orders issued on the subject, CCL is admissible to women employees for taking care of two eldest minor surviving children only.

The word children used in the rules, includes adopted children. An adopted "child" is still a child and cannot be termed as a "non-child". Children is plural of child.

The spirit behind CCL is to allow women employees to take care of two children, whether for rearing or to look after any of their needs like examination, sickness, etc. It would be highly unfair to discriminate towards adoptive "children".
