Mr.Pradeep asked,

I am a war wounded personnel, having lost both legs and right hand fingers while defending the nation in “OPERATION MEGHDOOT” at siahin glacier. I served in the army in 7 years. My Trade is Gnr (Operator – D – GP) in
Artillery. I was invalided out from the army on dec 1986.
My pension details are as following ;-
Service Pensio - 4603,
War injury pension-7020,
35% of DA- 4069,
CAA 3000,
Total -18692
i would like to know,
is it the PDA is been giving the correct pension?

Dear friend. It appears from the details given that your pension and war injury pension have been rightly fixed as per latest orders. However, it may be mentioned that War injury pension for pre2006 retirees has been fixed at lower level than the post 2006 retirees. Recently Principal Bench of Armed Forces Tribunal, New Delhi has given judgement on 30.06.2010, in OA No. 139 of 2009(Lt.Col. P.K. Kapur,Rtd. Vs Union of India) that Disabililty/War injury pension be fixed same for all retirees irrespective of whether they retired prior to 1.1.2006 or post 1.1.2006. Govt. has not acted upon it so far.

As per the details provided by you, your pension has been fixed correctly(.)
