Dear freinds..

I have a collegue who was promoted to the higher post of Inspector from post of Office Supertintendent. But due to his health problems he doesnt want to do duties of Inspector. The problem is , he has already joined as Inspector..i.e. taken the charge.. Now he wants to get reverted.

As per my knowledge, aperson can be reverted after"offer " of promotion and not absorbing of charge..so how can he be reverted on his request? Isnt reversion a penalising action restricted only in case of penalties..

Please help.. he needs it badly

As per fr 3 a civil servant can be reverted to his substantive post any time on following reasons:

A) own request
b) inefficiency
c) misbehaviour

Dear Pathakji,
If a employee is reverted to lower post as a result of implimentation of major penalty, how the pay band and GP will fix.
