View Full Version : TA on local tour

Audit of some of the offices in our district is being conducted by our head offfice, Bangalore for which some of my colleagues here are drafted for 8 days continuously. Two offices are in a radius of 3 to 5 Km and rest are 40 - 45 Km and my colleagues are leaving the head quarters with audit party from Bangalore in the morning and returning in the evening. The offices which are nearer are located in places (small hamlets) where the officials are not able to get food bills while other offices are located in towns from where food bills can be obtained. In this connection, there are ambiguity in interpretation regarding their TA claim.

1. Should all these 8 days be treated as one package or as they are returning to HQ every day, should every day be considered as one package.

2. As they are unable to obtain food bills in some localities are they eligible to prefer their claim for these days as per the old rates and for other places in where they are able to produce food bills whether they can claim as per the new rates.

I request members to contribute their view on the issue
