My prerevised scale has been upgraded. My ACP is due in Aug, 2008 as I completed ten years of service. Will upgradation affect my ACP date? Can any one clarify.

upgradation of scales is something different fron functional promotion and it will not afferct ur ACP. It can not be denied only because ur previous scale has been upgraded.

Dear jitendraacr
You are correct, but in a case, up gradation of scale due to merger of posts by way of restructuring of cadres, has been deemed up gradation under MACPS. In my opinion, up gradation of scales in result of re-structuring of cadres (LDC+UDC+DEO(A) is administrative requirement and cannot be deemed a particular promotion/up gradation under ACPS or MACPS. Accordingly, in my view, up graded scale/post should be treated as a Entry Post of a particular incumbent & ACPS/MACPS should start from up graded scale ignoring previous up gradation due to merger of posts.

Upgradation of Section Officers on completion of 4 years service is considered as ACP/MACP

Respected JITENDRAACR Sir,
I am working in National Library, Kolkata,
As per the government of India Order my department is saying that my promotional post has been deemed to be abolished.
Because it is vacant form more than one year.
Sir, if my promotional post is being abolished than my progress will be stagnant. because i am working on pure technical post and my 100% promotional post is also technical. and as per Recruitment Rule i can not be transferred to other service.
Sir my hope is in you that you could help me regarding this mater.
that any order which can say that my promotional post can not be abolished.
if possible send me your email ID
