Medical assistance

This appeal is for either Mumbaites or those who know about the facilities in Mumbai:

A relative of mine is diagnosed for TB and has been losing weight. He is financially very backward (with Rs. 3000/- per month as salary). His medicines itself cost around Rs. 3000/- per month. Moreover if he does not go to office (presently he can not), his salary is cut. Only two members are there in his family (himself and his wife).

I have been assisting him financially to purchase medicines and conduct tests etc. But I don't know how long I can carry on (due to my own problems).

I understand there are some trusts etc. where such patients can get help in getting medicines at cheap rates and some nutritious food etc.

Or may be there is some other way of assisting him.He is stationed in Mumbai.

Can any friend advice me on this (i.e. the course of action to be taken by me in trying to provide him continuous assistance till he gets well).

Medical assistants can be certified or registered health care workers who perform the administrative and clinical tasks that keep the offices of licensed health practitioners running smoothly.It really depends on where you train as a Medical Assistant.

As far as I know, Govt. Hospitals issue free medicines for treatment of TB. You may approach Govt. Hospital in this regard.

In tamilnadu we have the facility to treat tb free of cost in all government hospitals dot treatment it is for the six months continuously

and groundnut one hand full in each and every day is the important stuff as to be added in food it must

if u can one egg per day is must

all these things will be explained personally to you during starting of the medicine

and whatever the situation, either good or bad someone is to be there to help u to give the tablets continuously

hope that in mumbai government hospital also this facility is available

the government is spending a lot of money to give this medicines to the needed people

so please try to give direction to your friend to go to a government hospital
