A Direct Recruit Assistant having pay of Rs.6725/- in scale of Rs.5500-9000 as on 01.01.2006 gets his pay fixed @ Rs.16910/-(G.Pay inclusive) in GP of Rs.4600/- after putting in almost 8 years of service and .............

A DR Assistant appointed after 01.01.2006 gets his pay fixed @ Rs.17140/-(G.Pay inclusive) since entry pay in pay band for DRs in G.Pay of Rs.4600/- is Rs.12540/-.

That is to say that a junior gets more salary than his senior in the same grade. Isn't it waste of seniority?

And what an anomaly is this?

Dear friend,

This anomaly has already been considered by the Anomaly Committee in its meeting on December 12, 2009 and the official side of the Committee agreed to issue enabling orders so as to ensure that the pay of the promotees is not lower than the entry pay of direct recruits in the same grade.

You may wait for the orders to issue.

Dear Friend,

It was not the National Anomaly Committee (NAC) that was to meet on 16.01.2010 but the National Council of the JCM which was scheduled to meet on 16.01.2010 for discussing the draft minutes of the first meeting of National Anomaly Committee held on 12.12.2009. This meeting was postponed and the next date for the meeting has not been indicated. The Staff side has already received the draft minutes of the first Anomaly Committee meeting. The minutes will have to be formally vetted by the Staff side before it is issued by NAC for consideration by Government.

while giving details of NAC meeting, the staff side stated that the orders are being issued in the case of pay disparity of DR and Promotte in the GP 4600 etc., however, the minites of the meeting which is made public does not state of any such agreement by the GOVT but only the matter has been asked to be re-looked by the Dept.of expenditure. The official side is not at all interested in giving the logical conclusion/equality of status by pay and wants to bifurcate the association by DR/Promotee by playing games and the staff side is being seen as a mute spectrator - wake of staff side?????

Dear Friend,

I fully endorse your views. The versions of staff and official sides are at variance.

The staff side Secretary now claims that DOPT has refused to consider the corrections pointed out by the members of staff side standing committee in the draft minutes before issue. The staff side machinery seems to have lost its teeth.
